Attorney Shelly Megan Shaw

Shelly Shaw is the newest attorney to join Rick Davis & Associates. Shelly was born and raised in the greater Houston area, and attended Texas A&M University for her undergraduate degree. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. While at Texas A&M University, she was highly involved in Aggie Athletics, working with the Aggie Football Team, Athletic Marketing, and the Corps of Cadets. She was a National Collegiate Scholar and an International Honours Scholar, and she was frequently on the Dean’s List.

After beginning law school, Shelly focused her time and energy on public service, and she was awarded the Dean’s Certificate of Public Service and the Dean’s Certificate of Distinguished Public Service. Each year, she spent more than 500 hours helping her community through pro bono legal clinics for homeless veterans, advocacy for low-income families, and representation of domestic violence victims.

While in law school, Shelly clerked for multiple firms and gained a wide variety of experience. She was a clerk for the University of Houston Immigration Clinic, Children at Risk, The Texas Innocence Network, The Office of the Attorney General, State Counsel for Offenders, The Lieutenant Governor of Arkansas, Central Arkansas Legal Services, and The Barlow Law Firm. Her passion is criminal defense.

Shelly opened her own firm shortly after passing the bar exam where she served Bryan/College Station and southeast Texas. Her office served clients across the areas of criminal defense, estate planning, and business creation. She joined Rick Davis & Associates in order to serve a larger percentage of the Bryan College Station community.

Shelly currently serves on the Junior Board of Directors at Still Creek Ranch, and she is a committee member for Unbound BCS and Brazos Valley Cares. When she isn’t fighting for our community, she spends time with her two retrievers hiking across Texas.
